Crater Lake

So this last weekend I finally got to go to Crater Lake. It's actually a lot closer than we thought. We left about 11 am on Sunday and drove down there stopped at I think it's called Salty Falls on the way there and hung out for a while. It was kind of smokey at Crater Lake because of some wildfires, but it was still an amazing thing to see. When we first got there we got out to look and it's just breathe taking. There are hardly words to describe it. You just kind of stand there in silence not really knowing what to really say. We ate some lunch by the lake and then drove around to the other side and walked around some more. We were there for about an hour and I could have probably stayed longer. It's so amazing, like looking at a picture, even with the smoke, I would love to see it on a clear day. It's one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. We had a great time!!

It was so good to get to come home for a visit. I have missed my family and friends so much that I needed a SLC visit as we call it. IT was so fun I got to go visit my old office that I used to work at Dr. Carters office and go hang out with my two favorite girls Judy and Lynn, it was so fun and felt like I never left. One night we went to the fair with Stephanie and her kids, Brayden and Branson. It was really fun. Then another night we got to have Karen and her kids, Baileigh, Karsten, Brody and new baby Kooper come over for dinner one night. It was super fun. I miss being around all the kids so much it's so sad to me how much of their lives I'm missing and how big they all are. Then Saturday my mom and Karen and I took all the kids to my holly place...Leatherby's!! I absolutely love their ice cream, and so miss it. It was really fun and entertaining with all the kids there. I showed everybody, especially Baileigh how to eat ice cream. After that I went and had a sleep over at Brian and Stephanie's. IT was really fun and hard to leave, especially after I got a very special breakfast on Sunday from Brayden.I also got to visit both of my grandma's and have some good visits with them. Coming home was hard, but at the same time I missed my little family.. my husband Dayne and my child ...Booner.

So my mom and dad came up to visit us over Labor Day. It was really fun. I met them in Sisters and took them to Sahallie Falls on the way home. I think they really liked it. It was something new to see. That was Friday, Saturday we decided to drive up to Seattle and meet on of my dad's really good friends from the Air Force, who lives in Washington. It was really fun to see John and Eva. I have known John since I was very little. We stayed at McCord Air Force Base, which is about 30 minutes South of downtown Seattle. We went to the Space Needle and to Pikes Market while we were there. It was really neat to see all of that stuff and hang out with our old friends and catch up. Dayne didn't get to come with us up to Seattle because he was hunting the opener of bow season. So he was kind of bummed. Monday we took my parents to the coast, of course, and went to the little shops in Newport and also took them up to Lincoln City, a new part of the coast for them. We ate dinner at a great place right on the beach called Kylos. It was a fun, busy day. Tuesday was a lazy day for us all, getting ready for the long ride back to Salt Lake. I was lucky enough to get to ride back with my mom and dad to come and visit my family and some friends.

Another camping trip with Casey and Amie by the Umqua

So we went camping again with Casey and Amie, it was another fun adventure. It didn't start out that great, but that's okay. It's funny now. So Amie and I headed out early again before the working boys to get a camp spot and to get everything set up. Well we got about an hour out of Eugene and Casey and Amie's truck overheated. Bummer I know! So we stood on the side of the road for about 30 to 45 minutes, waiting for the engine to cool down. While we were waiting guess how many people stopped to see if we were okay....zero. That's right not one person stopped. So anyway, the truck cooled down and we were on our way again. Well as we were driving up the canyon the truck started to heat up again, so we pulled off to where we thought there might be a camp spot. Didn't find one, but while we were waiting, we were approached by a creepy guy with a crazy story about needing gas. It was really kind of scary! He was in my way of the truck and wouldn't really let me pass. So finally I just kind of walk out and around and told him to go to the next camp and maybe they could help. Amie and I were so freaked out the we just took off. The truck wasn't even really close to being cooled down, but we weren't going to wait around. Everything worked out good though we finally found a spot to set up camp by a river/creek. It was really nice. Saturday night we did almost get evacuated because of a forest fire. I tell you crazy camp trip. Luckaly we didn't get evacuated and we were able to enjoy the rest of the trip. It was fun, Booner loved the river, he was so funny, we didn't even have to throw anything for him to fetch in the water he just loved being in there swimming laps. It was a good camp trip to rap up our summer camp outs.

Camping with Casey and Amie

So we have just been some camping fools this summer. We went with our friends Casey and Amie. We had a great time. Amie and I went early to get a camping spot and had camp completley set up by the time our husbands arrived, we were so proud of ourselves. It was kind of funny we were in a little bit of a drama camp site. One night we woke up to people calling other campers the F word and a yelling match. I was kind of funny, we still had fun.There was a pretty cool little hike to a little waterfal about a mile away from our camp that we went on, it was pretty cool, not as big or as breathtaking as Sahallie, but still pretty. On the way home we stopped by a river and just hung out all afternoon, the dogs loved it. Sorry not many pictures, my battery died.

Camping in Olallie

So Dayne and I went camping this last weekend. We had such a great time. We found this nice little spot by a creek and didn't see a single person the entire time we were there. It was so beautiful up there, pictures just can't describe how pretty it is. We mostly hung out and Dayne taught me how to play Texas Hold em so now I am a poker playing fool. Just kidding. We also stopped by a waterfall near by called Sahallie falls. It was absolutely amazing. The water was so clear that it was a bright blue. I'm not sure if you can really see it in the pictures, but it was pretty cool. Then we went fishing to a little reservoir called Carmen. Not much action going on there. We had probably 3 bites the whole time, but that's okay, we enjoyed just hanging out. It was really a great weekend.

Just a Hello!

Hey everyone. We just started this blog so that we can keep everyone kind of informed about what and how we are doing since we don't see anybody that much these days, since we moved to Oregon. Dayne loves his job at Bowtech, I have never seen him so happy about work. I am working in an orthodontist office here in Eugene, that I really enjoy. Dayne and I have been so busy since we moved here, its almost like we have just been on vacation for the past year. A YEAR!! Can you believe it? We have been here for a year. CRAZY! At first I tried to fight it that I didn't like it here, but now I really do love it here. (Shhh! Don't tell Dayne I love it! :) ) We have been to the coast several times and camping here is amazing. There is so much to see and do. Of course I miss it in Utah, but mostly because of all my family and friends that I don't get to see anymore. But I hope to see you all soon
